Costancia
AOP Beaumes-de-Venise
Red
“The Great Lady”
- 50% Grenache
- 50% Syrah
Elegance, finesse, tension, harmony.

History
The name “Costancia” is engraved on a stone on the wall of the old Saint-Martin chapel, dating from the 12th century. The wines are aged in the remains of this chapel.
Terroir
These vines were planted at the highest point of the Beaumes-de-Venise appellation, at an altitude of 500 meters, on marl and limestone scree facing southeast and southwest.
In the vineyard
The soil is mechanically tilled between the vines, and a layer of vegetation is maintained between the rows. 50% Grenache – 50% Syrah, vines aged 25 to 40 years old. Yield: 30 to 32 hl/h.
In the cellar
“Rediscover the tension and directness that altitude brings to a wine’s balance.”. Vinified without any added oenological products. Hand-harvested, hand-sorted, and completely destemmed. Maceration for 21 to 28 days, aging for 9 to 12 months in oak barrels. Sulfur-free.
Tasting
Beautiful dark red color with purplish highlights. The nose is dominated by spices such as cloves and black pepper. It also features notes of bay leaf, resin, pine, and red fruits. A fine and elegant attack on the palate, this wine is full-bodied and sensual.
Storage
Can be consumed young, with an aging potential of 8 to 10 years in a cool cellar (4 to 7 years in a cellar with wide temperature variations).
All our wines are organic, certified by Fr-Bio-10 Agriculture France.
