Philosophy
It’s a real adventure to create a stable, clean, and precise, sulfur-free rosé in the Rhône Valley! The idea is to make a fine, easy-drinking, and easy-to-drink rosé while retaining all of its character. Far from standardized rosés, “SUR LA ROSE” is, above all, wine!
Terrois
Deep sand and clay from the foothills of Mont Ventoux.
In the vineyard
Vines cultivated using certified organic farming methods since 2012.
Thoughtful tillage between the rows.
“Something incomprehensible” grass underfoot.
In the cellar
“Producing a digestible and long-lasting rosé”
With manual harvesting and sorting, Transport is done in 350kg vats. Direct pressing.
Vinification in two parts:
The first part represents 20% of the volume. There is a light addition of sulfites and settling, then the wine is transferred to vats. Fermentation begins within 10 days for this first vintage. Malolactic fermentation takes place during alcoholic fermentation.
The second part represents 80% of the volume, which is blended directly from the press without settling or sulfites. Fermentation is very slow. Sulfur-free.
Tasting
The nose is very aromatic, with notes of small red and white-fleshed fruits. The palate is characterized by a skillful balance between freshness, elegance, and complexity. The finish is light, saline, and rounded.
Ageing potential
Drink young and at any time.
