La Gérine - AOP Ventoux - La Ferme Saint-Martin

History

In 2004, these vines were the first acquisition of Thomas Jullien, the third generation of winemakers in the family, with the desire to make an easy-drinking wine. Gravelly and loamy soil, in the commune of Saint-Hippolyte le Graveyron. Southern exposure.

In the vineyard

Soils are mechanically worked between the vines, and a layer of vegetation is maintained between the rows. 30% Grenache – 10% Carignan – 35% Cinsault – 15% Counoise – 10% other, vines aged 20 to 45 years. Yield: 40 hl/h.

In the cellar

“Creating an easy-drinking and digestible wine to make those who don’t drink red wine love it”

Vinified without any added oenological product. Hand-harvested, hand-sorted. Semi-carbonic maceration for 7 to 14 days, aged for 6 months in concrete vats. Sulfur-free.

Tasting

Garnet-red color. Nose of red fruits and wild berries. Elegant, easy-drinking, and delicate on the palate. Pleasant fruity aftertaste.
